The Base is a safe place for people to engage in their mental health journey, as well as a place to gather and (re)-connect. The Base aims to make people feel valued and welcomed and empowered.

The Base Team is a collective of passionate mental health clinicians and non-clinicians who are determined to contribute to creating communities of care. The team has expanded over time to a collaborative group of nearly 30 mental health clinicians, supported by a dedicated administration team.

THE BASE Health is centrally located at the former Methodist Church in Newcastle West. It is a unique and versatile venue. We don’t just talk about the benefits of bringing people together, we do it. In addition to clinical work, we facilitate professional and personal development events.

OUR ROOMS
Our clinical rooms are utilised in sessions by all our clinicians at The Base Health. Each of our rooms are designed with our client’s comfort in mind and include:

Access to Wi-Fi connection through The Base Health.

Central air conditioning and heating.

Windows for fresh air and plenty of natural sunlight.

Access to a shared kitchen space with tea/coffee facilities, available to clients and family members.
Some rooms are designed to fit different types of therapy, such as Art Therapy and Mental Health Occupational Therapy, and include many more facilities!
