BSc(Psych), Post Grad Dip (Psych), MPsych (Clinical), MAPS. Amir has a strong commitment and passion for helping people achieve their goals and improving their quality of life.
He is experienced in a range of community service in both adult and child and adolescent-specific services, particularly in working with complex mental health issues including substance-related difficulties, suicide prevention, eating disorders, major depression, bipolar, OCD and anxiety disorders. It is important to him that patients feel safe, understood and empowered throughout the therapy process.
Amir works collaboratively with the patient to gain a better understanding of their difficulties, strengthen existing skills and develop new skills if needed.
Amir helps patients learn new skills and insights that help them feel empowered to improve their mental well-being, and help work towards achieving the goals that are most important to them.
